Biography
Leon Cho received his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing with a Minor in Art, while also completing his post-baccalaureate master’s degree in Visual Arts with a focus in ceramics at California State University, Northridge.
Leon has exhibited his work in galleries in the Southern California area and has been recently been featured in; Oceanside Alliance at Spark Gallery in San Diego, CA; Irvine Annual in the Irvine Fine Arts Center, CA; Off-Center: International Ceramics Competition at Blue Line Arts, San Francisco, CA; as well as worked closely with a Non-Profit Gallery space (Junior High Club) for community workshops and opportunities for artists and locals. He has also been working as a studio tech and teaching assistant for his school, as well as his current job at Green n Bisque Clayhouse in Pasadena.
His unique background deeply influences his work—a blend of Japanese and Korean heritage, with his early years spent in Japan and his upbringing in Los Angeles. This multicultural perspective shapes his artistic approach, as he uses ceramics to explore and reconcile the nuances between these two rich cultures. Cho seeks to create a dialogue between his diverse cultural experiences through his art, reflecting his personal journey and artistic vision.
